The PAMP refinery, founded in 1977, has a reputation worth millions of troy ounces in the world of gold. Its headquarters is in the Swiss canton of Ticino. The Royal Mint in the UK, with a history spanning more than 1,100 years, is one of the world’s leading mints. Founded in 886 AD, it has a solid reputation as one of the oldest institutions in the world. With its headquarters now in Llantrisant, Wales, it is one of the world’s largest and most technically advanced mints. It makes more than 3.3 billion coins annually for more than 30 countries.

The Royal Mint is the state mint and is wholly owned by His Majesty’s Treasury. Besides minting coins for circulation in the UK and other countries, it also produces commemorative and investment coins and various types of medals. Its Britannia coin is reputed to be the most visually secure gold coin in the world.

The Royal Mint is an active member of the London Bullion Market Association (LBMA), and also maintains partnerships with the World Gold Council, the World Platinum Investment Council and the London Platinum & Palladium Market (LPPM).

Purity and elegance

A mint with just one owner and shareholder. It is fully owned by Canada and was founded in 1908. The Royal Canadian Mint strikes gold, silver, platinum and palladium investment coins, as well as commemorative coins and medals.

It has built its reputation on the high fineness of its coins. In 1988, the mint achieved the distinction of being the first to attain a purity of 999.9 for fine silver. Then, in 2007, it became the first mint in the world to produce a gold coin with fineness of 999.99.

Investment coins issued by the Royal Canadian Mint are coveted by investors not only for their inimitable purity, but also for their elegance. Investment coins featuring the particularly attractive maple leaf design are in high demand.
